In the Skyline Room of the Philadelphia Free Library, 1901 Vine Street, just off the Parkway, on Wednesday June 27th, at 7pm, Beth Kephart will discuss her new book, Flow…The Life and Times of Philadelphia’s Schuylkill River.

Flow is an imaginative telling of the life of the Schuylkill River which served as the source of Philadelphia’s water, power, industry and beauty since colonial days. Before that, indigenous people lived along its banks. With the coming of the industrial age, the river was the site of the first modern water treatment plant and served as the focus of Fairmount Park.

This is a FREE EVENT. Books will be available for purchase and a signing will follow.
