Patti, Lori, Clara, and Kim visit from Toronto
Once again, in just under an hour on a beautiful Spring afternoon, I was able to photograph and speak with some of the wonderful people visiting our city and taking time to pose with the Rocky Statue.
Emil and Kalina love our city and were delightful. They are from Bulgaria and between us we spoke broken English and French. Kalina knew a lot of English. Very fun people. I wish we had more time to get to know one another.
Here is Emil with his close-in fighter’s pose.
David is visiting from Hungary.

Don came to the U.S. with his girlfriend from Toronto. They stayed in New Jersey because they wanted to see N.Y.City. Staying in N.J. saved them a few dollars and it was an easy ride to come and see Philadelphia, specifically to see the Rocky statue. They had dinner here and even stopped into the Bishop’s Collar at 23rd and Fairmount for a visit.

I’m glad you did this photo series. It really shows that when people visit philly, they do seek out Rocky. I had a heated discussion, a few weeks back, with the marketing guy from the Art Museum, it wasn’t pretty. Unless it results in visitors to the museum, it should be removed. Bah humbug!
