Fairmount Bastille Day 2008 la Fête Nationale Française

For a few days each July the Fairmount neighborhood celebrates the French, using Bastille day as an excuse for getting out and enjoying our great restaurants, neighbors and a sense of joie de vivre.

Bastille Day, the French national holiday, commemorates the storming of the Bastille (a prison in Paris), which took place on July 14, 1789 and marked the beginning of the French Revolution for Liberte, Egalite, and Fraternite.
