NEW YORK, June 13, 2008 - New York documentary filmmaker Sam Erickson spent four days and 1200 miles touring small clubs without AC in the American South with the up-and-coming indie rock band Manchester Orchestra from Atlanta.

Shot by cinematographer JoJo Pennebaker, the result is an intimate portrait that explores the dynamics of a hard-working rock band - with all five members in their early ’20s figuring out how to deal with scrappy life on the road while on the verge of bigger things.

Since What’s Left Behind was shot last September, Manchester Orchestra has played New York, Los Angeles and London, where the NME declared them one of ten acts to watch. What’s Left Behind will be released on DVD in the fall. Stay tuned: www.themanchesterorchestra.com.
