I was surprised when I went to the GoodSearch site that some of my favorite non-profit helping organizations were not yet signed up to receive a penny a search from their supporters.

It has been in the news and on TV, but I guess not everyone has heard.

The GoodSearch site has it set up that each time you make a search, your organization gets a penny. People can designate whatever charity they want to support, and by going through ‘good search’ the charity gets a penny for each and every search.

For example, if your organization was able to get 20 people to designate their searches to you and they each made ten searches a week, you would earn $2.00.

If that happened every week of the year…$52….I know, it is not rocket science math and the numbers are not going to draw interest from the Federal Reserve, but, even $52 buys your organization something…stamps, pens, something that will not have to come out of the regular budget.

Maybe because it seems so small you could get some angels to give you matching funds. They match every penny each the Good Search brings in

I do quite a bit of searching during the course of a month. I like the fact that each of my searches gives a penny to an organization doing good things for others. It does not cost me a thing and gives them a small boost.

Sometimes, it is the small things in life which make a difference.
